Some of these directors are nothing but a bunch of "Pink Freaks"! I mean WICKED WITCHES!
The meeting I went to a few months ago, the director said if you want to invite models we could bring them to the Saturday model show. I took her up on her offer last week and wanted to bring some in March thinking I wcould save on hotel fees! This witch tells me that there are 12 directors that pay a lease to have this. What a minute? You didn't say ANYTHING about a lease! I told her that she never said anything about a lease. So she said to talk to her about it at the next meeting. So I claimed that I could come on Tuesday but I am NOT going to that crap! NO WAY would I want 12 DIRECTORS bossing me around trtying to tell me how to run MK! My main director said that I could have it at her office BUT.... I need a "boutique". That is a clothing store to introduce color coordinated outfits for the Spring that has to be approved by her! WHAT???? I told her "I didn't want to do it that way." I said the spring outfit is their choice just as long as the outfit is not sleazy such as a super mini like Paris Hilton wears. She claims that "my version of coordination may be different from someone else's and the purpose of having models to to sell make-up." So I told her "MK is make-up, so what's the point in having a boutique from a store to try to persuade people to buy make-up AND clothes?" And I told her that I do pageants and in the runway category, you don't have to show your clothes to the pageant director for approval. So she cut me off and said she had to go and to call her back on Monday! I am NOT calling her back! Now in the recruiting hook and line, they say that MK is YOUR business and you can run it like you want! But when they feel that your idea might upstage theirs, their try to do whatever they can to keep it from happening as long as you hold classes, fashion shows along side with them! I DON'T THINK SO! Because the inventory is coming out of MY POCKET and NOT theirs so I run it how I want to as long as it isn't illegal or immoral! And to get techical with it, MK policy forbids the seller to do make-overs! That person must do it themselves! And here you have ALL of the directors I been in contact with, doing makeovers and FACIALS and hev the nerve to boss new recruits! I don't think the 12 directors actually make that much money either! Because their office is run down and all the way in the back where it looks like you need a bodyguard to escort you! It's REALLY dark at night! I do admit it looks VERY nice on the inside! But 12 directors leasing a run down office? How much money are they REALLY making?????

I can tell you that my close friend who is a director is making over 100,000 a year. She does add her caddie in that amount so for those looking for actual cash in the pocket..deduct maybe 950 per month for the car. I know for a fact that it all doesn't go down the drain on traveling, extras, taxes ( she absolutely loves the write offs), etc.,. Since she started she logs about 4 hours a day (maybe more in the beginning) and spends the rest of her day doing dressage with her horses. IMHO she's done very well for herself.
I think it's important to remember that just becuase people make good money does not mean that they will buy the "best of the best" all the time. It's far better to find something suitable for a good price.
