I am so sorry that the women you talk about with all the inventory on their shelves were not business minded enough to avoid credit card debt and have a mind of their own. Neither of us, you or I, can make someone purchase something they do not want. You are right, many women are not wise enough to protect their inventory investment, but it is with money management that lies the problem, not when or whether they return product.
Protecting your investment is critical and embezzling is the number 1 problem with Mary Kay consultants. I don't quite understand why, because it only hurts the one who embezzles. It is much easier to place blame on others than on ourselves when we have shortcomings or failures. I hope that in the future you will find that what you say about others is a direct reflection of the person you are. Don't let this terrible experience dictate your direction in life.
You sound like a woman who truly cares about other woman enough to be a good and gracious leader given the opportunity to do it your way! Obviously you love the products or you would not still be a consultant to even a few customers! Have the courage to move ahead and set the example-change must start somewhere! The best of luck!
