I was recently approched in Target by one of your sales ladies. She wanted to give me and my friend free facials. I had no problem with this.

I let her into my home and discovered that she was totally pushy. I had signed up to start this program before talking to my husband. Just to get her to lay off. I was interested but the timing at this time is not right.

She proceeded to tell me and my husband two different things and would do the complete opposite. In turn I had a friend who was interested also. The consultant Kristen Ham signed my friend up without her knowlege and sent her her starting package without her consent and billed it to my husbands credit card.

Then also she had us write up to five different names down who might be interested in this product telling us she would not call them and after all she has done to my family she started calling on my list of people I had written down.

She totally makes Mary Kay look bad as a company and lost any new clientele she would have gotten from my group. I was not impressed at all.

This is very sad to hear. I am sorry you had a bad experience with your consultant, but why would you write the names and numbers down if you didn't want her to call them. If she wasn't going to call them, she wouldn't need their names. Think about it.

I agree with Sarah Clark, why would you write names down if she wasn't going to call them? Also, if she signed your friend up without your friends' knowledge, I wonder how she did it. Signing a beauty consultant agreement OR submitting it online requires a social security number as well as other personal information. How did your consultant get her information? That's mighty strange. Although, I am very sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. I have been in Mary Kay for over a year, and I've never heard of such. That's totally not what the Mary Kay principles are.

Also, what are the two things she told you and your husband?

I was just wondering if maybe you chose to sign up and then backed out when you told your husband?? Also most Mary Kay ladies I know are very friendly and if you just let them know you need time to think about it they are happy! My guess is that you and your friend chose to sign up that night becasue you were excited in the moment (ecspecially because you gave her your husbands credit card number) and then backed out! And I bet you were refunded your money for the starter kit - both of you weren't you?? AND I bet she told you you could write 5 names down of friends you think would love to have facial but if you were nervous about her saying she got the name from you, you could asterik your customer profile and she wouldn't say a name?? Also I dont' beleive she told you and your husband two different things - I believe you told your husband something different because I know he called her 6 times to cancel the card and she called the company and got it refunded the next day for you and your friend becasue I know her and she is one of the Best People and Sales Director I know. SHe is kind, caring, and is not in this business to get rich but to help women feel good about themselves. She has a very prestigious other job and does this on the side - so why would she do that? Maybe you were feeling quilty and wanted her to look bad?? Maybe you weren't pressured at all? Maybe you shared with her that you were staying out home with your kids and would love extra income and did you think from what I have heard that YOU HUSBAND IS TOO CONTROLLING?? Please get your story straight the next time you are going to express strong angry feelings about someone becasue it hurts them.
