Now that you know better, doesn't it seem like any business you "dive off" into should be done prayerfully, thoughtfully, and gradually? If it were such a terrible company, I don't suppose you would still be selling products, even to a select group of people. I don't do something if I don't believe in it.

The young lady I know who has spoken with me about it, didn't try to persuade me. She gave me some of the literature and a tape, some other info I could use to research MK and was very up front with me about the cost to start and everything. She didn't insist that I stock up on inventory equaling $3600. She only started with $1200. But she also told me that she knows a lot of ladies that only keep about $600 worth of inventory on hand, and they do just fine. I've jumped off into things before only to find if I would have researched it, even just a little, I would have been the wiser.

I hate that you had a terrible time in the beginning. I haven't joined, but I am considering. I will attend a few of the beauty classes with my MK consultant friend first, however. I and my husband will sit and go over the (+'s) and (-'s) and such. He's the logical thinker and I'm the emotional thinker. So together we complete ourselves. I also have the personality to make a good consultant, I believe.

It's not all about selling products. It's about doing something you love, making people feel good about themselves, I know I feel better when I've had a facial and put on even a little bit of makeup. Pamering always makes me less stressed. I love people making them smile. Even if they don't buy anything, I get satisfaction out of making someone smile and just fellowshipping with other women.

Of course, it's nice to be able to sell something, but customer satisfaction is what makes a business work. That and smart business decisions. I definately wouldn't suggest that someone make this their main source of income until they see how it's going to work for them. I wouldn't do it if my husband didn't have a decent job, and I couldn't afford to get started. I'm certainly not going to max out any credit card's to do it either. Not bashing you in any way, just a little input, from an objective eye.
