THE PEOPLE WITH THE REAL BUCKS ARE THE ONES AT THE TOP OF THE HEAP....I am sure you can make money like with anything that you have to push on people, the people most successful in a MLM are the ones who have a lot of time, know a lot of people and are willing to be pushy and ride people, I swear I was stalked by a MK director about three years ago and I had to literally change my phone number, transfer from my work to a new office and buy a new car, and go incognito to Walmart, she would see me at a funeral and chase me down, she wanted me to buy, she wanted me to sell...it was crazy, then she asked for names of my family, I mistakenly gave her my neices number and she did the same thing to her, we went to a MK party at her house one time being promised free products and she had MK stuff everywhere, all she talked about was needing to make enough to pay a house payment! It was weird, her husband was propped up on a chair just lurking at all the women and rubbing his face, it was errie, I felt violated....he just sat there not saying a word but stroking his thigh....it was gross. We left there laughing so hard we could barely see straight. Anyway you look at it, the BEST customers of MK are older women, and people who have no access to other lines or can't afford it right now MAC cosmetics is the world's best selling cosmetic over 75 billion in sales.

Business is business

While I can understand how a person can become frustrated because they did not make the fortune they thought they were going to make. However, I cannot understand why a person thought they were going to get rich quick. Mary Kay is not a qet rich quick scheme and is told right upfront. I run a business just like any department store. I hold inventory on my shelves like other department stores. Some products get discontinued and others do not. That is how a business that sells products works.

I have a short story that may illistrate the concept of business. I have a personal family member whom started their own business and had to take out a $400,000.00 loan to get started. To date they have yet to see a profit. They work very hard and have no time for their family or anything else for that matter. I chose to start my business with Mary Kay. Mary Kay has a proven marketing plan and all the training and support that I will ever need. I have to tell you I chose to invest in my business by having full inventory $3,600.00, my investment isn't even 1% of the the loan my family member had to take out. So, which would investment would you rather make, $400,000.00 or $3,600.00? My point in telling this is that both businesses are logit businesses. However, if you don't do the work you don't make the money either way you look at it whatever business you go into. You can either work for someone else who put up the money to start a business and take whatever they throw at you or you can start your own business and not have to take anyone elses grief. As far as the suggestion to take out a loan it was a smart suggestion, what do you think big companies do? Use there savings? No, that is not the smart way to run your business. Ask your bank how a business should be run. As well, I don't think Harvard would be teaching the marketing plan if it was not good sound advice. Once again, you are the only person who can guarentee your success, either you succeed or you don't. No one else is to blame!!! As far as Mary Kay being a cult. The dictionary defines a cult as something that changes a person's life. So, yes Mary Kay could be considered a cult but I would rather be in this cult then be the negative person I used to be.

Also as a side note, I have already started seeing a profit on my investment.

If anyone has any questions regarding Mary Kay and are interested in the starting your own business with Mary Kay contact me .
