The point of the business is not to get as much inventory as possible, see how much you can sell in a year, and before the one year mark, send all of your inventory back to the company.
If you were active in selling, you would not have inventory sitting on your shelves collecting dust. I do have my own inventory as well, and I will be honest, some products do not sell as fast as I would like them too, but that doesn't make me want to quit my business. I just come up with creative ideas to sell my product.
The wonderful thing with Mary Kay is that you are able to achieve anything you want, the power is in your hands, no one else's. Maybe you didn't sell as much as you had expected and decided you wanted to send all of your products back before you got too involved.
Honestly, I don't think you tried long enough. I have times that I am not as active, but I will make up for it in the following month. It's okay to get discouraged, it happens. But you have to pick yourself back up again and get out there! I just thought I'd share my opinion and maybe a little advice.
