My opinion, I have been a MK consultant for over 16 years. I started with $3600 in inventory because I realized right away that this was a real business which is evident from the marketing plan. By the way in order to start a Subway Franchise you must put up the required money to buy everything you need to get started. The bottom line is that you can't run a store with an empty shelf.

Now there are woman who realized this and purchased inventory and failed at this business and got stuck with inventory because they did'nt follow the company directions and let the time lapse and could'nt return it. Same thing with what yall call a real business only in the real world you can't send it back at all.

Here's the problem with people who get involved with MK. Most are'nt smart enough to recoginize a great business opportunity and most don't realize that they have to invest in there business beyond the $200 minimum. Here's how it's suppose to work. Whatever method or methods you choice you sell, you go to your truck or house "Right Away" bag it collect the money and move on until they run out and come back for more. However, most consultants start with little inventory and do one of two things 1)go to director every 5 minutes to borrow or break there neck trying to get enough orders to place an order and then having the customer wait (BAD customer service).

This is not how the marketing plan was set up to be. It is set up to run like a business and often times it's not.

My experience: I maintain an inventory of $3600 and I work FT. Income wise on Avg I earn between $700 and $1000 a month. When I needed to up the anty I worked harder but, mainly by getting other customers to help me. Most of my customers where turned onto MK by a family member or friend who got out because they didnt invest in the beginning and and got worn out and there pockets where depleted.

I love finding these customers because all I have to do is sell them product the intial consultant did all the work (Skin care class etc). I make my money because I HAVE INVENTORY>>>>> I only take credit cards and cash. I am a professional and I don't have time to pray a check will clear. (I have established customers that I take checks from.) And when I meet people who can't pay right away the card goes to there hand they come to me or I will loss the sale. I try to deal with woman with money meaning "No postdated checks" No running around chasing people" No calling and begging etc".

It took me a while to build a customer base but now I reap the benefits.

My opinion on recruiting. I have moved up and fell back down a couple of times. I can't recruit because I am honest. I want woman who are like me. Woman who can take a $3600 chance. Someone who will invest in this dream and give it 100% and if they find that they can't hang it's no problem because they can afford to take the risk both mentally and financailly.

So far I have not had the required energy or motivation to work the numbers: yeap like all of sales its a numbers game. I don't feel like dealing with the numbers "YET" to get the few gems.

I don't like woman like most who have responded who whine and blame everyone else for their failures in MK.

IT WORKS WHEN THE MARKETING PLAN IS FOLLOWED

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU NEED MONEY IN THE FORM OF "INVESTMENT" AND YOU MUST WORK

*on another note I might add that MK consultants and directors are human and a few bad apples can spoil the whole bunch but are you going to allow that to kill your dreams?

The true MK marketing plan works but "YOU" must read it, understand it, and follow it and not depend on your director. That's what true educated professionals do.

And it takes time and you must be willing to re invent yourself.
