I know that this business isn't perfect and would NEVER claim it to be. As a Christian, it's stupid to imply that. As you said beautifully, we can't put our true faith in Pastors or the leaders of this country so why even think that a MK Bubble exists where all is rosey-posey. But saying that, we do have choices and one can bow out for 1 year to find a Unit that better suits them. That fine line that I have referred to is there when you are in a leading position and it has corrupted the best Christian leaders and Corporate Executives but your relationship with God is what sustains you and it is told to us in this company (I hope you heard this in the group you were associated with Laura) to keep your eyes focused on God and to start each morning with prayer. I pray for my team members and I have witnessed to them and helped them through many crisis' and they've helped me. This business is so enjoyable because of that. I have had them at my wedding and gone to their funerals/family funerals. I have been at the bedsides of a few who have given birth and I have been able to watch someone give up a degree and an unhappy marriage to pursue MK full time and change her entire outlook on life. This is so worth it and I do hope that each and every person who considers this business looks at all the facts both tainted and beautiful and PRAY ABOUT IT! I interview my prospects and give them 1 day and whether they are believers or not, ask them to be prayerful and call them back. It may take me longer to get where I'm going but nonetheless I have to brag that my turnover is very small. We are all a bunch of girlfriends, and I HATE to be called their boss because I'm not, that have fun with each other! That's my opinion. Thanks Laura and I do hope that God takes all you learned from MK, the good and bad, and helps you grow from it. I give all praise of the success of my business to God. And yes I do have bad days/weeks and months but it's the persistence and constant refocusing my eyes on my goals and on what God is doing that gets me back on track!
Happy New Year to all!

P.S. I will go to the next available post and copy in my response on my findings through research that I've done on why MK is not an MLM. I am not brainwashed into believing it is not but I was forced to do research a year or so ago so I can recruit my financial planner to be personal use. I actually make WAY less money because she is a consultant and bought so much as a customer but it helps her out and she is able to give MK as gifts to her clients...again the heart of this company is to help others. Now she's a great friend and she has considered MK recently as a career and she makes $25,000/month currently in Financial Planning but is impressed with our business. You never know what God will give back when you selfishly put back into the lives of others.
Hi Wendy! Thanks for your integrity! Mary Kay would be pleased......I've received replies much the same as yours with women who do have that integrity and have had low unit turnover rate such as yours......one who only lost 7 people in over 3 yrs!!!!! In my area what seemed to be the focus was interviews, interviews, interviews and working the numbers....it was $1000 in production a month for each new recruit......that's just how it worked and if you needed 10 new recruits, you had to go thru 40 people, 40 interviews.
I made bad choices, of my own, no one made me and I regret it, but God has worked it out and taught me many lessons. I, too, thought about returning and 'doing it right' so I could cross any stage with the joy of honest achievement........but I'll just wait and save it to cross God's stage...........
Good Luck to all you MK ladies and may God bless your businesses in a wonderful way and may he also comfort all the rest of you!!!!!!!!
Love,
Laura
