Hi Laura,

I would like to say that I knew of one SSD (close friend) who went through brain cancer and never lost her car. The company was more than willing to bend and be flexible with her issue. I'm not certain why they weren't for this other woman. I guess it helps to not just here one side of the story on the internet.. no less. It's certainly not a balanced view.

Curious isn't it Rebekah...that's my beef.....why rules are different for some directors than others.....obviously those in Wendy's circle have some sort of compassion that other seminar affiliations don't.........anyway around it, we are independent and there should be no quotas as they say in the initial marketing plan. No director should have her unit taken from her, a unit she builds is hers. I hope one day to see this company taken to court regarding it's use of the "Independent" contractors, yet have so much control over them........something seems slippery to me!

Some units rally behind directors in hardships, there is no 'across-the-board' explanation, however, regarding the lady's experience I recently posted, what happened was that she was so successful at spinning off directors that it basically, cost her her unit. How that happens, like she said, is that when a director spins someone off, at LEAST 30 members from the parent unit go to the new director, in her case she spun off TWO directors at the same time, so at LEAST SIXTY (60) women left her unit ......that's tough to replace all at once! Since she was attending to her son, family issues, etc., she did not get those new recruits to replace producing members of her unit. Mind you, with 60 exiting, that takes a chunk out of a unit.......with 4 directors, she's lost 120 members......with her skill, she could have easily recouped her unit in due time, but not in time according to corporate.......they only gave her 60 days to do so. So, she got the "form" letter stating the consequences of her 'failure to work'???? I think corporate is STUPID for letting such a woman go......

She leaves with nothing, no retirement, no vested anything, nada, zip, zilch. Hers is not the only story like this and I just cannot admire a company who treats it's INDEPENDENT sales force this way. There is NO EXCUSE for them to be taking directorships from anyone who worked hard to get them.........especially new directors like I was.

I believe their quotas should be removed......sure, have a qualification period for this and that and a qualification amount, but once that is met, let it go. What are they accomplishing by taking a directorship away from someone??? Nothing. Except enhancing the senior director's unit. A director gets paid on commission only from what her unit produces, and she is supposed to be INDEPENDENT of the company, so let her be. I think directors would FLOURISH if they did not have the pressure in the back of their minds from the thought of 'at anytime, if you don't make production 2 months in a row, you are done'.......even our dear Wendy (and I don't say that with sarcasm at all), said in one of her posts, she felt relieved when she learned that corporate would bend for her.....that says to me, that she was worried, and by her own admission, she was.

I think the 2 month in a row thing needs to GO, the 4,000 a month can remain, but only as something to attain, not something to maintain or be thrown out. Think about it corporate.
