TOPIC: US CreditCom?, or should I say US Credit"CON".

I have been scammed by the Company US CreditCom?. They are out of Las Vegas, Nevada, and they called me claiming that they were responding to an inquiry for a credit card. They said that if I sent them $159.00 that they would guarantee me a gold Mastercard or Visa with a credit line of $2,500. I asked all sorts of questions some of which I am listing with their(the company's) response. I have also added my thoughts after they got done answering each question. My thoughts are listed in parenthases following the answers.

Q1- Why do I have to pay for my credit card?

A1- This is not a payment for credit it is a service/program fee, similar to a yearly program fee for other credit agencies, but our fee is not recurring, you only have to pay once. (sounds pretty good, I know alot of companies who charge a "yearly" program fee for their Goldcard Members).

Q2- If I pay the $159.00 fee, am I guaranteed a credit card to be issued in my name with a $2,500 credit limit?

A2- As long as you have not had any forecloseures, reposessions, or judgments against you within the last 30 days, YES MAM. (wow, this is great, I haven't had any of these things happen in the last 30 days).

Q3- Is there any way that I may be denied the credit after I have already paid the fee?

A3- No, Mam. As long as you haven't had any judgements, forecloseures, or reposessions within the last 30 days, you will recieve the credit in question. (Cool, she even said there was a 30 day money back guarantee)

I should've known better, sounded too good to be true. On the other hand, they did say they were an accredited member of the Las Vegas Better Business Bureau. Wish I had only had the good sense to check them out before I gave them the authorization to do a draft on my checking account!!!

I am posting this report of my experience with US CreditCom? so that other people may see it, and take heed. I did get a welcome package in the mail from them about "two months" after I signed up. Unfortunately, I have tried on numerous occasions to contact them, and always either get constant busy signals, or am on hold for an unreasonable amount of time. The one time I did speak to someone, they assured me that I would receive my credit card. "Just be patient", they said. They said my 30 day guarantee didn't start until I received my card and activated it. Needless to say, I have never received any credit card with a $2,500 credit limit attached to it. I haven't received any credit offer at all.

The sad thing is my husband had just recently lost his job at which he had worked for 12 years. We really needed that credit card. They said the interest rate was a fixed 9.9% for the life of the contract. I not only go cheated out of my credit card, but after they got done with me, I was $159.00 poorer than I was in the first place. I have two small children, and this took a bite out of their Christmas. I am so mad I could spit in the person's eye who called me about this bogus offer in the first place!!!

PLEASE, anyone who may call you representing US CreditCom?, hang up on them!!! Then, immediately call the BBB in Las Vegas, Nevada and report them. Also, immediately call your State's Attorney General's office and report them as well. They say they are a longstanding member of the Las Vegas Better Business Bureau, but in reality, I have found out that their membership was revoked. From now on, I am thoroughly checking out anyone who calls me at home before I do any type of financial transaction. This is good advice for anyone. If someone calls you and offers you credit, even if you really need it, don't let your desparation drive you to doing something you will later regret. Anyone having information on this matter, or any other matter concerning bad business practices by US CreditCom? may contact me at user vbfasching at domain hotmail.com. Something has to be done about these crooks who prey on innocent, desparate people. These are the worst kind of criminals!!! THANKS, -- ValFasching web search for ValFasching - 07 Jan 2003
